10 Things I learned Today From Facebook and Twitter

and this would be a good time to add a shameless
Maison St. Germain plug...

Become our FAN on facebook-

And follow us on Twitter-

So- now the 10 things I have learned from Facebook and Twitter just today. In no particular order.

1. "Republicans are turned off by the size of Obama's package."
Do you need to read that one again?

2. Paula Abdul is much deeper on twitter than she was on Idol.
           And less amusing.

3. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.
uhhhhh... okay. So much for returning the  favor... we eat pigs.

4. The word gymnasium comes from the Greek word gymnazein which means ''to exercise naked.''
I'm not sure what to think about that.

5. The Real Housewives of NJ premieres May 3rd
...and looks to be more explosive than last  season. Crazy Ladies!!!

6. When I read Joan Rivers Tweets, I sound like her in my head.

7. According to Soaps.com... Women lie about watching soaps.
I may or may not watch AMC, OLTL and/ or GH.

8. The Dunkers are Beating the Non-Dunkers in the Oreo Poll

9. P-Dub's dryer is finally fixed.

10. Elmo, Oscar, Bert and Ernie, Rosita, Abby, Grover & Cookie Monster have Facebook pages.
        Really People? Really?

Thanks for stopping by.
See you soon!

ShoesDay

I was going to save this post for my Fashion Friday, but I talked so much about vintage shoes this weekend that I needed to get it out of my system. So... silly me tried to do online research on why vintage shoes and most clothing were so small. Well, Bloggers and Blogesses, the answer is simple and I guess quite obvious. The women... ready?... were just smaller. *Gasp* During the depression they ate less because they couldn't afford to eat a lot. And now they put vitamins and hormones in food- and if you are like me add sugar, salt and butter to everything... (yeah, yeah, yeah- my diet starts tomorrow)- so I guess I just lack common sense. But I do have to say looking at old photos those little babies did
 not go hungry!

Don't you just want to squeeze her little cheeks... Hold on- I need to go kiss Fibi.

... okay- I'm back. So anyways here are some pictures of crazy vintage shoes that you may enjoy.

I don't know about you- but these look more uncomfortable than my highest pair of stilletos?!?!

And then there are these- which kind of confuse me. Please let me know if you had/ have a pair of these... I'd love to know how comfortable they are.

Sorry Ladies... this hot pair is for the men ONLY...

but maybe you would like these?!?!

Are these not the most precious... they are like antique an antique version of Uggs! So cute...

Thanks for visiting... maybe you learned something... but probably not. lol

For Sickness and Vintage

Soooo, although we were both deathly ill... my mom and I did an Antique and Collectible show in Middletown last weekend. We had beautiful weather here in CT (so we heard :-0 ). The show was good- but what was fabulous was the school hosting the event had about 20 boys who flocked our truck to lug in all of our many bins of fabulousness!!! It was a huge help, considering we could barely lift ourselves at that point. But none the less- we pulled it together and this was the outcome...

We decided to do a masculine side and a feminine side with the dress forms in the middle.

Love the hat??? You know you want it!

This is the last of our antique door knobs... as you can see- the glass ones were a huge hit! They are so gorgeous and you can do so much with them!

We brought a lot of silver to this show. It's just so pretty.

Yes- those are shirt fronts. We received so many comments/ thoughts on them. We also had collars. One customer bought a few to frame. Very Fun!

My favorite part, of course, was the vintage purses and accessories. They are great for prom season, formal gatherings... or just everyday wear! Why wait to celebrate? Or more importantly- to look fabulous!!!

So that was the show! Wish you could have been there ;-)

Thanks for stopping by!
